CACS, Inc. Head Start and Early Childhood Programs is now hiring for Head Start Teachers! This is an immediate opening located in Lansing, MI. The rate of pay is $16.63 per hour. See full job description attached for more information.
Head Start Teachers work full-time, up to 42 weeks per year and have the summer off! Our program operates both single session 7 hour classrooms and double session 3.5 hour classrooms. Children in the Head Start program are between 3-5 years of age.
Head Start Program employees are required to be fully Covid 19 vaccinated by 1/31/2022.
Sign On Bonus up to $2,000.00 is available for people whose hire date is after 5/1/22!
Responsibilities include:
- Weekly lesson planning (including individualization) with Creative Curriculum
- Assessing the developmental progress of children through Teaching Strategies Gold
- Providing guidance and support to teaching team (Teacher Assistant, Classroom Assistant)
- Home Visits, Parent/Teacher Conferences, Family Fun Nights, Reading is Fundamental (RIF) activities
- Working with cross functional team to prepare children for Kindergarten success
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Endorsement
- 1 year of experience working in an early childhood education setting
